Dear Friends,
Please mark your calendars for the Annual DeNuke Amelia Island Dutch Uncle Golf Benefit on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Arrival the day before on Monday, October 11 (Columbus Day) would be beneficial for the shotgun start at 8:30
am on tournament day. More details and Registration, select the Golf Ball Links at the bottom of the page.
Proceeds from the tournament, raffle, and purchases benefit the non-profit Michael Krupinski Memorial Foundation Education Fund (MKMF), www.mkmfeducationfund.org. MKMF’s mission is to expand the pipeline of students entering the engineering field to support the nuclear industry’s growing workplace requirements.
In the past we have generated nearly $10,000 annually for the MKMF through this tournament. Significant portions of those funds have gone to programs and summer camps providing middle school-age students the opportunity to experience high-tech engineering careers first hand. One very special activity the Foundation recently has undertaken is providing a grant to the University of Wisconsin to further its capability to provide students remote access and interaction with the University’s reactor operations and its personnel. We’ll provide you details of this exciting new project, which your contributing dollars are supporting with your registration for the upcoming Amelia Island Dutch Uncle Golf Benefit.
